Greetings from the Knudsen Vineyards’ cabin – my splendidly isolated abode for the next several weeks!
Perched at almost 1,000 feet in elevation looking east over Knudsen Vineyards and the Dundee Hills, the remarkable view lifts my spirits and daily vineyard hikes keep me grounded.
My parents built this cabin on our property in 1976 so that they would have a place to call home when they visited. It has been a refuge for all family members for over four decades and is now where I am sheltering in place.
During this time of necessary separation from society—or perhaps because of it—I find myself singularly focused on the future of Knudsen Vineyards. We continue to move forward with plans to open a tasting room this summer devoted exclusively to our brand. Infrastructure developments have already begun including road improvements, internet updates and WiFi functionality. As an “essential” business in the agriculture industry, our vines continue to be tended with care by our attentive and skilled vineyard crew.
