Because balance is best practiced with Pinot.
Welcome to Yoga at the Vineyard at Knudsen Vineyards—where flexibility meets fermentation and every pose pairs beautifully with Pinot. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just here for the wine, we invite you to uncork your inner peace one sip at a time with these highly advanced (and totally unserious) wine yoga poses.
Sipasana (Seated Sip Pose)
Begin seated, legs crossed, bottle within reach. Gently raise your glass to your lips and exhale the stress of the day. Hold for 3–5 sips, or until the tension disappears. Repeat as needed.
Downward Grape
Like Downward Dog—but instead of focusing on your breath, focus on not knocking over the glass in front of you. Advanced practitioners can balance the glass on their glutes. Legends are said to be able to pour while in the pose.
The Corkscrew Twist
Take a deep breath and twist from the waist, wine glass in hand. This pose is excellent for spinal health, digestion, and subtly checking how much Chardonnay your yoga mat neighbor has left.
The Blanc de Balance
Channel your inner elegance. Stand tall in Tree Pose with a flute of Blanc de Blancs raised high. Wobble gracefully—this is advanced core work. The true test? Keeping those bubbles in the glass.
The Bow Pose (AKA the Bottle Opener)
Looking to amp up the flexibility and open up your core? Lie on your stomach and reach back for your ankles, gently lifting your chest and thighs off the mat. Hold this while someone gently brings a glass of wine to your lips. Accept this offering without spilling. You are strong. You are focused. You are Pinot-powered.
Chardonnay Savasana
You did it! Time to cool down. Lie flat on your mat, glass resting gently on your belly. Let the soft notes of citrus and oak guide you to your happy place. Stay as long as needed. No one’s rushing you.
Going to yoga with a partner? Try these graceful poses because nothing says “trust” like handing someone a full glass of wine mid-lunge
Partnered Chardonnay Crescent Lunge
Face your partner and bend into a crescent lunge with knees resting against your partners. Partners support each other’s wobble while silently questioning life choices. Raise your Chardonnay glasses high and toast to balance, serenity, and the fine art of pretending you’ve got this.
Partnered Pinot Pull
Sit back-to-back in a comfortable seated position, each holding a glass of Pinot Noir. On the count of three, twist toward each other and gently clink glasses over your shoulders. Sip, smile, repeat on the other side. Great for spinal mobility and synchronized sipping.
Namaste & Cheers!
At Knudsen Vineyards, we take our wine seriously—but not ourselves. Come take a yoga class with us this summer! Each class includes a guided yoga session overlooking the Dundee Hills, a wine flight and a light breakfast to nourish body and soul. Now that’s what we call well-being. Whether you’re strengthening your core or simply uncorking your joy, we welcome you to find your balance right here at Knudsen Vineyards.
