2013 Knudsen Vineyards Pinot noir
Sold Out
The Knudsen Vineyards 2013 Pinot noir is a beautiful, light-red ruby color, is medium bodied and exhibits energetic red fruit aromas with a subtle hint of wet stone. It’s wonderfully balanced acidity and robust mid-palate mouth feel lead toward an unusualy long finish. It superbly showcases the nuance, depth and complexity of the fruit from Knudsen Vineyards.
98 points – The Pour Fool (November 2015)
“Complex, involved…engrossing. The texture is flawless; as silken, in its own way, as a well-aged Brunello or Barolo. One of the prettiest and most graceful finishes of any wine of any type that I’ve found in years. It fades slowly, lazily, and if you just mindlessly rush to the next sip, you’re missing a spectacular experience.”
93 points – PinotFile (September 2015)
“This wine has one of those noses you want to go on sniffing, featuring cherry, cranberry relish, graham and sous-bois. The cherry flavor bursts on the palate, caresses the mouth, and persists on the finish. A touch of red strawberry and spice box adds interest.”
92 points – Wine Enthusiast (December 2015)
“A fine follow-up to the inaugural vintage, this classically-styled wine is a medium-rose color, shading subtly into tawny around the rim. Flavors are an elegant mix of blackberry fruit, brown sugar and crème brûlée.”
90 points – Vinous Media
“Brilliant red. Aromas of redcurrant and dried cherry are complemented by allspice and cracked pepper. Juicy and tightly focused on the palate, with bitter cherry and allspice flavors unfurling slowly. A hint of pomegranate appears on the incisive, persistent finish, adding a refreshingly bitter edge”.
